KEBONY INTRODUCES NEW FOUR-IN-ONE DECK BOARD PROFILE

St. Clair, MI – May 12, 2020Environmentally friendly modified wood manufacturer Kebony today announced the launch of the Kebony Deck Board, a new decking product that accommodates four different varieties of fasteners, according to Andy Hehl, Kebony US Director.

“We’ve actually re-engineered our decking profile so it can now be fastened in four different ways, making it easy to secure surface decking according to a project’s specifications without added milling or lead time,” Hehl said. “Kebony Deck Board installation is one of the fastest and easiest on the market today.”

Kebony Deck Board’s new profile accommodates the following fasteners/installation methods:

Step-Clip™ for Kebony, which uses easy to install strips to minimize the time and labor spent fastening the deck. The Step-Clip reduces deck surface installation time by up to 50% and ensures proper spacing, protects the joist from water damage, and makes it easy to replace a board in the future if necessary.

Hidden fastener clips secure the deck without screwing into the board’s face. Kebony Deck Board is compatible with the Fastenator™ Hidden Fastening system by DuraLife®.

If the positive lateral connection of fastening through the face is preferred along with a smooth, uniform surface, then using the Pro Plug® System with Kebony wood plugs is the best option. The Pro Plug® System by Starborn® is the fastest plug option on the market today, and Kebony wood plugs are designed to work seamlessly with the system.

Finally, when securing surface decking using traditional methods, stainless steel screws through the face of our Kebony Deck Board work very well. Kebony recommends placing the screws 1” from the edge of the board.

Kebony Deck Board comes with a 30-year, non-prorated warranty against rot, with no maintenance required and a 50-75 year expected lifespan. It evenly fades to silver-gray patina when left unfinished.

Natural wood - made to last

Wood has been living, growing, experiencing. A testament of time, with details and characteristics, stimulating our senses, and giving us a sense of quality of life.

A material we treat with outermost respect, and deserves to age with dignity. That’s why we invented a natural formula with no compromises, turning wood into a strong, sustainable and long lasting part of our future. Like nature itself, our wood requires no maintenance and become more beautiful every year.
